Our programs
Love fashion? The jewel in our crown is our two-year accredited Certificate III program in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles, which we deliver on-site in Collingwood through our partnership with RMIT University. This course is designed to give you industry-ready skills in garment production or prepare you for higher level study in fashion and textiles.
To be eligible for our accredited Cert III program you must:
- be from a refugee or non-English speaking, new migrant background; or be an asylum seeker eligible to study under the ASVET program (Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV), Temporary Protection Visa (TPV), Bridging Visa class E (BVE), Humanitarian Stay (Temporary) (subclass 449) visa or Temporary Humanitarian Concern (subclass 786) visa)
- have a Health Care Card or Pension Card that is linked to a valid Centrelink payment, or are able to make a claim for one before the start date of the course
- have the right to study in Australia
However, we believe opportunities work best when they aren’t one size fits all. So besides our RMIT University-accredited fashion course, we also offer social sewing lessons, workshops, traineeships, work experience opportunities and internships to our students. Visit our FAQs to learn more.
So far we’ve supported more than 800 young people through our formal pre-accredited and accredited TAFE programs, with an impressive 96% completion rate. Plus, our grads go on to do some seriously inspiring stuff. From creating their own labels and small businesses to studying international relations or careers in banking and bio-medicine, some have even becoming teachers right here in our school.
